The district said their new partnership and collaboration with the Marion County Healthcare Foundation will allow our schools and teachers to apply for mini-grants to support innovation in our classrooms and schools.
“The $500,000 grant funded over four years from the Marion County Healthcare Foundation will have a huge impact on teachers, students and our community,” said Stacie Wilbanks, Marion County School District. “This grant acts as more of an opportunity for our teachers to be able to expand, some of those innovative opportunities in those classrooms. Teachers that wanted to do some things, but didn’t necessarily have the funds to do them. We are incredibly grateful to the Marion County Healthcare Foundation for their generous support and pivotal role in enhancing educational opportunities for our students. With their help, we can foster a more innovative and dynamic learning environment for the young minds of Marion County. said Marion County School District Superintendent Dr. Kandace Bethea.
