Marion County Healthcare Foundation awards $668,150.00 in grants for 4th Quarter 2022

Several non-profit organizations, and other agencies that serve Marion County, received grants for projects that will help improve the quality of life for the citizens of Marion County.   “We are thrilled that there were several great projects to fund and service organizations that are committed to providing such important services to our community” said Pete Mazzaroni Executive Director of the Foundation.

Organizations and agencies receiving grant funds included:

  • Medical University of South Carolina Marion Hospital- Colorectal Screening Program and Equipment
  • Pace Center for Girls Outreach Program
  • McLeod Health Foundation-Nurse Family Partnership
  • Town of Mullins Community Movie Theater Equipment
  • Harvest Hope Mobile Food Pantries

Community Impact Grants, those over $5,000, are awarded on a quarterly each year.   Non-profit organizations that serve Marion County can apply for grants through the foundation’s website.  The foundation’s priority for giving are those programs and projects that impact: access to healthcare, education, and economic development.  More information about the foundation’s giving focus areas can be found on their website.
