Habitat for Humanity Grant
Habitat for Humanity applied for $15,000 to purchase building materials for new construction of a house in Nichols, SC. The 1,250 square foot three bedroom two bath home will be the 33rd home built in Marion County by Habitat for Humanity.
Marion County Habitat for Humanity is a locally-run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit Christian housing organization. It works in partnership with people in need to build or renovate affordable housing. The houses are sold to partnering families at no profit with no-interest cost.
“The Directors and I are pleased to be a participant in improving the living conditions and home ownership to one more Marion County citizen,” said Bruce Siegal, chairman of the Marion County Healthcare Foundation board of directors.
